Care after c-section questions

FTM here. I know typically first horns are late but I’m a worry wart and am also concerned about the possibility of needing a c-section on an unplanned basis. My husband hasn’t been at his job for a year yet so he can’t take FMLA until May but we’re due at the end of Feb. If she comes early or if I need a c-section I’m worried about how ill recover or who can care for me. I heard c section recovery is like 6-8 weeks. I think he can only use his sick time and vacation time which is like 9 days. Any feedback on what actual recovery looks like and what I should try to develop a plan for?
