My daughter's 1st birthday is coming up in a few weeks. We just moved across the country from all of our family & friends so we don't really have anybody that we would invite to a party, but my friends (who live too far away to come) insist that I have to have a party for her 1st birthday! I wasn't worried about it because she's a baby and won't remember anyway, but now they have me worried I'm robbing her of something. Has anyone else been in this position? What can we do to make her day a special memory without going the traditional route? I already have a photographer scheduled for cake smash photos, but is there something else we should do?
