paci advice?

I've created an addict and know we need to wean eventually. I'm due with #2 in about 5 months and am not sure if I should wean now or wait until we all have transitioned into having new roles? (big brother, new baby, etc) what would you do? We're just going to go cold turkey, just not sure when to do it. He is 13 months now.

Mine didn’t get rid of hers until shortly after she turned 2 and she did it by herself. We just kept telling her she doesn’t need it and to give it to a baby who does. She ended up handing it to my husband on his way to work one day and saying he could take it to another baby. It was not a terrible transition but i would recommend doing it now or waiting until she is used to the new baby. One big transition at a time.

We just threw them all away, and told our son its time to be a big boy now. It is helllllll for a week or two, but definitely does the job as long as you dont give in.

My friend said she cut the very tip of them off and the baby just didn’t even want it anymore. Lol

My daughter is 1.5 years old and I only allow her to have her noopie at bed time. I plan to have her off it entirely before April when her brother is born.

I listened to my mom and took all the pacis away at like 9 or 10 months even though I thought it was too early..... it was only bad for me at night time and nap time cause that’s when he used them the most. But with baby girl I’m going to let her self wean as long as she isn’t 2 years old trying to talk to me with a paci in her mouth.
