When they come home how long do they sleep for? Mine will sleep all day till it's like an hour till it's time for him to go back to work and it drives me crazy because I'm the one dealing with the kids all day can't shower can't do anything it just annoys me! I feel like I'm practically a single damn mom.

1. You're not a single mom. My husband is a military police officer. He works nights, weekends, holidays, etc. He's away from home a lot. I am NOT a single mom by any means just because he's not here as often as I'd like. And I'm sure the women here who are truly single moms would take a bit of an offense to that statement.2. Yes, my husband works nights often. It doesn't bother me or affect my day in any way. We have our separate routines and schedules. Mine happens to include our daughter more than his does due to the job he has. But we make it work. I still shower every single morning as usual. I still hit the gym 5 days a week. I still get my work done and keep the house clean and anything else that needs to be done. My husband wakes up early enough to spend time with our daughter before he has to leave again and always makes that time count. No, he's not home as often as I'd like but I'm in no way a single parent and he's a fantastic father. Military spouses do this every single day. I'm just thankful he's not deployed and I have him home in the first place. If you're having issues then you need to be communicating with your spouse.

Does your hubby get to spend a lot of time with the kids? I would try to spend as much time as I could with them. Time goes by too fast and you can’t make up for lost time later

My husband works nights. 
He goes in at 6pm.
Gets home around 5am most nights at the latest 7am.
He has me wake him up at 12am & 1:30pm at the latest depending on when he got off.

Mine works from 7pm to 7am, he's a railroad conductor sometimes I just feel like we don't get to do anything as a family cause he sleeps all day 😒😒

My husband works shift work 6-6.  On nights he'll get home 640am and go to sleep no later than 730.  He wakes up and 340 to get ready for work and leaves at 440.  It's like a hour drive to work.  Yeah, it may feel like I'm a single mom some times but he works so that I can stay home with the kids.  Does your house only have one shower?  You can try showering before he comes home or after he wakes up.  I shower while my husband is sleeping, he wears ear plugs.

My SO doesn't work nights but my dad does. He works 5pm-5am. Hell go to bed around 6am and wake up around noon. Then leaves for work around 4:15.

My hubby works shift work so rotating days and nights 6-6. When’s he’s on nights he gets home around 630 or 7 and will sleep until 12 or 1 to leave for work by 5. But I’m usually at work during the week. When he works on a weekend we will go to lunch before he goes to work.

Thankfully for me, he and I take turns thanks to his late shift. I’m so grateful for it. He works from 5:00pm-3:30am. I’m currently on leave but will probably try to work short mornings. Although I spend all day with our 1 month old, I try to nap and then he takes over when he gets home til 7 or 8am. At least I get some time in our bed. Though during the day he does sleep til 3 or 4pm. What kind of hours does your hubby work? I know working long hours is rough but being a parent is definitely more tiring despite what anyone says

My partners never worked nights, but when I was working nights before my daughter was in school I got like 6 hours of sleep. I'd stay up during the day and go to sleep around 5 at night so my daughter had time with me, then get up at 11:15 to get ready for my shift at midnight.

My husband used to work nights. He would get home around 7AM and sleep until 3PM, or 6PM if he was exhausted, but wouldn’t have to leave until 9PM. He worked as maintenance for a plastic manufacturing company. We didn’t have kids at the time, but it’s not fair that you’re husband isn’t pulling his weight with the kids.
