I am 1 week and 5 days postpartum. Just went to use the bathroom and this came out along with a string of bloody mucous. Is this normal? I had a c-section.
UPDATE:: cramping got more intense and radiated to my back. While i was showering i felt something hanging. Ended up pushing another one out while in the shower.

No, you should go to the doctor ASAP. If placenta and after birth weren't fully taken out (rare with csection but possible) you could end up with serious infection. How are you feeling otherwise? Fever? Aching? Chills?

I don’t know.  I had this thing that looked like a peach pit land in the toilet at 2 day’s post partum.  Now I feel like maybe I should have asked the doctor.

I had a broken placenta (vaginal birth, but can happen with section). They literally fisted me to get it out as leaving it can cause hemorrhaging.  Dunno why no one caught that your placenta wasn't whole when they pulled it out.
Please, please, make sure you let your doctor know. Bring it in, show them the photo you posted, and tell them about all of your symptoms. Tell them exactly everything you've told us. And if they don't listen, to to the hospital.
