Military uniform?

My boyfriend is in the Air Force and he left his dirty uniform at my place. I was going to wash it for him with my laundry but I’m terrified I’ll somehow fuck it up lol. I don’t really wanna ask him so he’ll be surprised. Is it okay to wash his uniform as it is with my clothes?? Just regular detergent and warm/cold water? Can I use a dryer sheet in the dryer? Or does it need to like hang dry? Any help??? Lol I’m sorry if this seems silly

Edit: I washed his uniform and it came out fine. Clean & good as new. I gave it to him when I saw him and he was surprised and super thankful. I appreciate the tips and comments - especially the bits about checking the pockets! I’m going to leave this up in case any others come across it and can use the tips. I ended up washing on cold, inside out with my usual detergent and drying on warm without a dryer sheet. Although he said I could have used one bc he does lol. Anyways, thanks again ladies!!
