Scared on getting pregnant and giving birth

I'm a diabetic with type 1 diabetes, and i have been trying to get pregnant for a while now. I already havee one toddler hes 3 about t to be 4 in 4 months. Me and my fiancee have been trying to have a baby, but I'm scared of getting pregnant because of the risk of being a diabetic espescially with giving birth because on my last pregnancy my due date was suppose to be 39 weeks but made it to 41 1/2 weeks. When I was in labor my doctor induced me and later on says that they have to do an emergency C-section if not e or my baby were gonna die. I wanted to know how did you anyone feel about giving birth being a diabetic? Because it scares me so much that I'm sccared to have more kids.

I'm a type 1 also. I had GD with my first child, 17 yrs ago. When she was 11 months old, they diagnoses me with type 2 (incorrect) and when I hot pregnant a 2nd time, I was finally diagnosed correctly with type 1. I went on to have a total of 4 pregnancies and 4 CS. My children are now ages 17 (girl born @38 wks), 15 (girl born @34 wks), 11 (girl born @34 wks), and 9 (boy born @36 wks). No lasting effects from my having diabetes.

I’m a type 1 as well. I’m on my second pregnancy (my son came at 36 weeks naturally on his own, & was perfectly healthy. He just had to learn to keep his sugar regulated on his own) & beside having to check my sugar more often & change my dosage more often it’s not bad this time either. My drs won’t allow me to go past 38 weeks without being induced. I see my specialist every 2 weeks & my OB every 4 weeks til 28 weeks then I’ll see them every 2 weeks as well. This time I’m also taking progesterone shots to keep this one in the oven a little longer. Best of luck to you❤️❤️
