How did you know you were ready for another baby?

I have felt so blessed and content with only having one since the moment my son was born (even though I always wanted 3) ... I even felt as if I would be unhappy to find out I was pregnant ... but suddenly in the past month out of no where all I can think about is getting prego and I’m finally feeling excitement of having another baby !!! Looks like we are going to start tracking and trying this summer :) how did you know you were ready for another baby?

I can’t say I ever felt not ready. Not that I wanted kids back to back. Just that I knew I wanted more than one my entire life. And even with a challenging first baby that didn’t go away. Before having my first we discussed spacing 2 years and that’s what I tried for. Ended up being 3. 
I always knew I wanted a large family and never experienced the fear I know many moms do about adding to the family. That may not be helpful. Just adding a different perspective.

I suffered severely with PND after my sons birth, to the point that just the thought of ever having another child made me feel suicidal. 
Prior to having my son I had always wanted at least 2 children, if not 3. My husband, the same. 
It was heartbreaking watching him clearly starting to get broody again and wanting to expand our family, but he knew it wasn’t the right time, at all, for me! He was so supportive throughout my PND, he truly was amazing. 
Eventually, when our son had just turned 2 years old, I sat him down and told him I was ready for another child, that I had been mentally well for quite some time now and that the longing to expand our family was back! He of course, was a bit wary at first as he didn’t want to risk me going through what I did again. But when I explained to him, that even if I did, we’d both know what to expect and that I would have the most supportive husband by my side, he knew how certain I was. 
We spent the next few months thinking it all over, talking it through together and by the end of November we were 100% ready! I finished my BC early December and we are currently in our TWW of our 1st month trying! 
I honestly feel more and more broody and more and more ready to expand our family, every day! I cannot wait to be a mom again, no matter what life throws our way, I know we’ll do a fantastic job!

I think i knew I was ready when I would think about pregnancy and a new baby and i wasn’t scared. My daughter is 2.5 and all I can think about is giving her a sibling. I want this so bad now! 
I’m ready to be a mommy of two!
