Joint Baby Shower/Wedding Ceremony

Hi all! Happy New Year to all. I need your thoughts on this. My partner and I are expecting our first baby in July and we recently got engaged (on New Years eve to be exact). We would like to get married before the baby is born. We talked about doing a court house wedding and then dinner a at restaurant afterwards, however because we are low on funds, we can’t invite all of our family and friends who are dear to us. We then thought, well why not do the wedding ceremony during our baby shower? All of our family and friends from near and far will be there. We would let our family and friends know ahead of time, and we will only put the baby registry on the invitation. My fiancé and I will have a co-ed baby shower with or without the ceremony and we just want those who go to be there and celebrate with us all of the amazing things happening in our lives.
