I don't believe in soul mates. My husband is my perfect partner because we work on our relationship. It's easy to fall out of love when you rely solely on those gushy feelings, you need the gushy feelings AND the commitment and work. While I do believe my husband is perfect for me, and I for him, it's because we met at the right time in our lives to connect. God blesses you with chance meetings and then you take it from there with His strength and help.
Either that or there's many potential soul mates out there... but theres not a "THE ONE" in my opinion. It's all about the pair being in the right place, physically, mentally, emotionally, etc and ready to put the work in to keep that relationship good.

I have had two soul mates in my life. One was an ex who is now like family to me. The other is my husband. We just clicked. I felt like I knew them. I am very shy, so I don't talk to many people or click with many people. When people usually talk to me, it's so awkward, but when I first talked to those two, there was no awkwardness, and I just felt like I could be comfortable with them, and I initiated the conversations both times. That is not me at all.

IMHO our souls are compatible with many souls mates. Overtime, our needs and wants grow and change. Some people grow with us and some people are only meant for 1 chapter in our story. We all are different and wonderful, I don’t see the logic in just ONE person that is 100% perfect for me. More like lots of people that are between 70-90% compatible and it’s my choice to commit to one. I never want to be fooled into thinking it’s the end of the world or I’ll die if a relationship doesn’t work out. love is great, feels wonderful, is a choice and takes effort and dedication.
