Why do you wear makeup 🤔🤔

I heard some guy at my school talking about “isn’t it funny how girls try to make their eyelashes longer for guys and you can’t even tell unless they look like spiders” and I just was like 🤐🤐 not every one does their makeup for a boy

I usually do it for myself. I like getting all dolled up for special occasions. Sometimes I do it for my boyfriend if I know he likes certain looks. I get dressed up and put makeup on for him, but 90% of the time, I don’t even wear makeup.

For myself, but honestly the best makeup compliment comes from fellow women. You know what makes my day? When a woman I don’t even know says “girl, I LOVE your eyebrows!”. I don’t care what men think about my makeup unless they are makeup artists themselves 😂

Lmaooo just yesterday i was dying my sister inlaws hair, and we were on the topic of some things women like (i think it was rompers and makeup) and my fiance said something along the lines of how guys dont even like those things, and i said “well sorry but women dont give a fuck what you think about what they wear” and hes like “... well isnt that the point arent you trying to impress someone” i was like “no not everything is about you” 😂😂😂 his sister was cracking up and said “yeah no one actually cares what you guys think”

I have the best time sitting at my vanity and listening to music while I do my hair/makeup. Yesterday I painted my nails and I never do I just wanted a reason to stay at my vanity and listening to the rest of this playlist 😂

Most women I know who say they do their makeup for themselves, I think don’t realize that in doing so, they do their makeup for others. 
Doing it for yourself and your confidence means you’re not confident in something and typically other people would notice those insecurities that you’re worried about. With your makeup on, they don’t notice, and/or they end up complimenting you and it boosts your ego. It’s still for them to see what you want them to see.
For the women who do it “for the art.” Thats a little different I suppose. Because you’re not doing it for anyone. Not even yourself. You’re just having fun putting makeup on and playing or testing it out. But I don’t know a lot of these artist makeup people would step out of the house if their makeup was truly bad in fear of others not liking what they’d see.
I wear makeup for the holidays with my family. And yes, it’s for my family. Because I don’t like those comments if “you look tired/I’ll.” It if I’ve had enough sleep or that I’m just so much prettier with my makeup on. But work it school? Nah, I got my man. I’m not here to impress a single sole and I value sleep too much in the mornings to “do makeup for me.”
