Thank you card station at baby shower?

Okay, asking lots of questions today but I literally have no idea how baby showers work. 
All guests for my baby shower were invited either in person or by mobile communication so we have only a handful of actual addresses.
I really think thank you cards are proper. Is it tacky to have thank you card station for people to provide their address or no?
I am handwriting the thank yous to make each personal.

My tacky at all!  We just put an envelope at each table setting and asked people to fill them out.  Makes the whole thing so much easier!!!

No that is a really common thing to do now! 
Just have a little station with envelopes and pens and everyone writes their address for you! If anyone doesn’t do it you can always just ask them for their address.

Honestly I think it is a little tacky. You should address the envelopes yourself, not have people address their own thank you. If you don’t have addresses I would just reach out to people and ask. Or maybe have a station where they write down their address in a guest book.
