When did you start your maternity leave?

Money-wise, I need to stay until 40 weeks, but physically I don’t think I can.

Mine started when I got discharged from the hospital

My last day was when I turned exactly 40 weeks. I work in retail and that's what they would allow. So, unless your doctor says you need to be on bed rest or induced early then you pretty much may have to work til your due date. I was miserable at 36 weeks. Got induced at 2 or 3 days after my due date.

I had a mostly deal job and worked a full day the day labor started. 
When I had a very active job I started leave a month early cause we knew I was going to be a stay at home mom for awhile anyways and I was hurting to keep up. 
I think it depends on type of job you have really.

I work on my feet all day (I’m a hairdresser), but I’m working up until the week before my due date to try and have as much extra money to save as possible. It’s for sure getting to the point though where it’s very hard physically and I wish I could start my leave sooner. I’m 34 weeks currently.

I started when I went into labor. Called my boss and said well baby’s coming today see ya in 12 weeks. I have a desk job though.

For me it was the day I was induced at 37 weeks due to low amniotic fluid. I was planning on taking my maternity leave at 39 weeks so I could rest up and get things ready before our little one came.
