How do you know when your tampon is full to avoid overflowing?

I usually can feel when it’s full so I change it then or else every 2-6 hours depending on flow. I drink a ton of water and pee like every hour so it’s no realistic to change my tampon every time

I usually just change it every few hours. I have such a light cycle that sometimes all I need is a panty liner, so I don't play with the idea of TSS.

As gross as it sounds, I usually feel a gush or I can feel the tampon trying to slide out when it’s full
