Dude with kids?

Question

So this dude I’m dealing with has 2 kids. We’re both young in our 20’s. His kids are by the same person. My parents hate the fact that I’m even interested with him. They think that I’m going to be distracted in school and he’s just going to try and get me pregnant. That’s not the case. I sometimes feel that females dating another dude with kids already kinda look bad for doing it. How do y’all feel?

I wouldn't. Early twenties already in the second kid? That's not my goal for the next ten years at least. I spent my whole life so far taking care of younger siblings, I want to be child free for a good while. 
I'd run fast.

I dated a guy with a daughter and married someone with no kids. I feel relieved I didn’t stay with the first guy. It’s so much better to have a fresh start with someone with no baggage

I wouldn’t want to deal with a man with two kids in my early twenties. Its just not the right time in life for that in my opinion

Honestly as someone who's dating someone currently has kids and is in their 20's I'm going to say that yes sometimes it is a challenge, however as far as you and school goes it can only be a distraction for you only if you let it be. Remember at the end of the day, yes you are his partner and his safe space to talk about things, but his kids are his responsibility  and will come first. Also I don't know about you but as far as co- parenting goes I found it was important to me to meet the kids mom, that way she knows who you are and that her kids are being well cared for.

My SO is divorced and has 2 kids with his ex he’s 35 I’m 22. He told me everything up front so there was no surprises in our relationship. We now have a 4 month old son. He is an amazing father to all 3 of his children. And we are considering having another child down the road.

It would be too hard for me, I think. Being with someone who had to coparent it I wasn’t a parent myself would feel like too much baggage. You definitely need to decide that for yourself though.

I’m 27 with 2 kids .... had my first at 18. Of course it’s your decision. I dated a guy for awhile & we got really serious .. but he wanted a break felt we were moving too fast. We have still talked & hung out since then but he tells me he can’t be with me because he’s not ready for kids (he’s 26) I completely understand & respect him but if I didn’t have them he says we could be together. Makes me feel like shit & breaks my heart ..... I love my kids & don’t regret anything 
but spending like all your young life as a single mom is so hard. 
Sorry I’m ranting but these comments just made me think of my situation & your 20s w/ kids but I totally respect everyone ❤️
