Nexplanon?

Question

For those who've had the Nexplanon implant, what was your experience like? Any complications? Would you recommend it?
If you've also had an IUD or Depo, how did you like Nexplanon compared to those?

I’ve had all 3. 
Implant, I had a horror story, bled constantly BUT all the people I know who have had this contraception have not had these issues so don’t take my experience as the experience of everyone. 
Depo, made me gain a lot of weight, I weirdly bled everytime I had sex but it wasn’t heavy, other than that it was an okay contraception.
IUD, I loved but I was a very rare case who had fluid pockets build up in my uterus. But I had no periods, no side affects and it’s super easy. The insertion was painful but over very quickly and it’s a good long term contraceptive but the option that if you come off it you can get pregnant as soon as possible. 
Overall I would say the IUD was best and I was gutted that I had to have it removed.

Love it, period is very light bleeding if at all, no complaints here. I haven’t tried anything else besides pills and the shot.

I got Nexplanon put in 5 months ago after having my baby, I’ve yet to have a period on it

I got nexplanon in Nov 2016. At first my period was extremely light compared to my normal 7 day heavy bleeding that I had prior. A few months into it, I went back to my same old very regular 7 day periods, although they were slightly lighter. I never had any major complications with it, and do not mind having it, although I am disappointed that I still have my same old long period. Never had any long bleeds, spotting, or irregular periods. Other than one month I had 2 periods (this past June). Other than that everything is very regular.

I had nexplon for over 2 years, gained over 40 pounds, had my period for months at a time. I felt crazy on it. I had depo before and after the nexplon, I love the depo, my period if i get one is about once every 3 months and it's about a week or so of spotting. depo the first time helped me lose weight, the second time I haven't gained any weight.

The nexplannon is great! Ive had it almost a year now, & it does take a few months to regulate. Periods are every month, light, but can last two weeks for me. My one side affect is mood swings, but they’re manageable! Great protection for 3 years!

I've only had mine for a month now. I started feeling some side effects a week after getting it inserted (mild nausea, some headaches, very tired). But I haven't really had any more since then. I got my period this past week and it was a few days longer than mine usually is (to be fair, mine have always been really short like 3-4 days but this one was a week) plus about 3 days of spotting before my period started. But my period was MUCH lighter than it usually is! I've felt the mood swings a bit, but they come and go and it's nothing too bad. So far I'm happy with it, though I know things could change in the future. For now though, I'm loving it!

Symptoms are a hit and miss with some women. I was one of them girls who had a period everyday and gained 20 pounds. It did a lot to my hormones and gave me frequent headaches. It just wasn’t a good experience for me and I ended up getting it out right around a year of having it. Definitely do your research on it.
