How did you tell your so?

We lost our son at 19 weeks back in June then a miscarriage at 5 weeks in September. Now expecting our hopefully rainbow baby. I got my first positive Saturday morning and have been testing every morning since then and they’re getting darker. I’m waiting to tell my husband because the last 2 loses we’re really hard on us and I can’t bare the thought of getting his hopes up for nothing. Any ideas how to tell him next week?

I woke up at 3 AM on 12 DPO (2 days before Christmas) and had a feeling i needed to take a test, and i couldn't go back to sleep.  So i got up and tested and got a BFP!  I had NO idea how i wanted to tell hubby.  Last time i had a funny card i gave him, but told him right away.  Since it was so early, he was still sleeping so it gave me time to calm down and think of what i wanted to do.  I bought this onesie a couple days after my miscarriage last August.  I saw it at Target and it just felt like i had to buy it.  So i had errands to run that day, so i found a cute box and these adorable baby shoes and wrapped it up.  I came home and unloaded all my stuff from the car and went back out and grabbed this.  I came in and said " I know we agreed to not get each other Christmas gifts this year, but i saw this at Target and had to get it."  I could barely get my words out.  And he opened it and just started crying.  And i started bawling and we hugged and our dogs were standing there staring at us trying to figure it what was happening.  ❤️❤️ I'm 6w1d now.  Praying this baby holds on.

i wanted to wait to tell my hubby too bcuz it hit him hard as well but he and i are so close that i had to tell him. its hard keeping a secret from him so heres what i suggest: When you tell him try to explain that you arent sure of the outcome yet so dont get too excited JUST YET but also try to remember that even though it hurts him,he will be there for you should anything happen. i had my loss in september and i honestly just keep trying not to think about it until i get farther along. its super hard to ignore it, but im just trying to not get excited yet. Good luck and i hope you have a healthy 9 months :) and im so sorry for your losses
