I've changed to a new memory card so I don't have those pics on my phone now, but we went to the 12 weeks check up on April 1st 2016. we found our it was a girl. ..I already planned ahead and made custom coffee mugs with both sexes, because I wanted to play " a prank " on my parents.  mugs said "  you're gonna be a grandma,  it's a girl" on my mom's and " you're gonna be a grandpa,  it's a girl" in my dad's.  (we made 4 mugs total,în advace,  two with girl and two with boy, since we were announcing the same day we found out the sex. .my dad got pissed and cussed me out, because "this is in poor taste, even for April fools"( and I totally agree, but I could not pass up this opportunity. . I had no other " holiday " to make a cool announcement on..my mom laughed it off *( they both wanted DO bad to have a grandchild ).. half way through dinner,   my husband looked at my dad and said... " u know that it's NOT a prank right?" my mom screamed so loud that the next door neighbors knocked on the door within seconds. they could not belive it.. for 2 hours they both kept saying :"  please,  don't mess with us, it's all real?". even after showing them the ultrasound pics, they had a hard time believing it.. I took my mom with me at my 15 weeks appt and she finally be lived us 100%. our daughter is 16 months old now and a spoiled princess

We told my FIL on Christmas (this was back in 2015) and his card said "congrats" and on the inside we wrote "merry Christmas grandpa" He opened and shut the card a few times before it all processed. My parents we just called. He's their 27th grandkid so it was not as exciting.
