When did you try to conceive after a still birth

Question

I just lost my son full term 6 days ago. I'm not ready I'm far so far from ready to even want a baby. Me and my bf have been together 4 years I'm 18 he's 20 we live in Chicago(city) we were able to have anything we needed. I was just curious when you moms started trying again and you were ready for another baby. I'm not trying not for years but just curious

I’m so beyond sorry for your loss. Your son is absolutely beautiful and no mother deserves to go through this. 
I was 19 and lost my daughter in the third trimester in May of this year. I honestly didn’t think I would survive, or ever be able to handle being pregnant again, apparently god had other plans. We definitely weren’t trying to get pregnant, I even went back to college and then I unexpectedly got pregnant in October. So that was only 5 months after losing her. I am still so full of emotions and it’s definitely hard, but I’m grateful for another opportunity to be a mother. I’m taking everything day by day and trying to remember that every pregnancy is different. All you can do is do your best to insure a healthy pregnancy and pray that everything will work out!
 I hope that you will be able to find peace and comfort within your sons memory. Some things that I have found that truly helped me and could possibly work for you. I got a tattoo of my daughters footprints, a necklace with her ashes inside, a memory box for all her items. Planting a tree in her honour, donating Christmas gifts to an underprivileged child the same age that your child would be, memorial jewelry. On my daughters initial due date we did a butterfly release. I also found connecting with other mothers with similar experiences really helped! Try looking in to programs and support groups, it’s definitely helped me!

I answered for my friend. It wasn't still birth, but a high risk pregnancy where they told her for months the baby wouldn't survive. he lived an hour and a half, but at least they got to say hello and goodbye. they waited between 2 and 3 years before they started to try again.
