Acid reflux natural remedies?

I've been taking Nexium or Prilosec for the last several years and I've been experiencing joint pain. Not sure if it's related, but I've been wanting to wean myself off of the medication for a while. Does anyone know of natural remedies for acid reflux I could try instead?

I have a hiatus hernia and also struggle with acid I would say try and make some changes to your diet And on your bad days eat very bland food even if it’s just as a snack. I find that plain mash, rice or crackers help. If you find any good remedies or tricks keep us updated 😊

Following! I also want to get off nexium/Prilosec but I haven’t found anything else that works as well. Zantac and Pepcid just don’t do anything for me.

As strange as it sounds, sour kraut and pickles have been my savior! I had heartburn/acid reflux to the point where I was vomiting and I felt like I was taking too many tums which weren’t really working anyways. I read somewhere that sour kraut and pickles work with the bacteria in your stomach to help fight it! And it has worked tremendously for me!
