Bonding with baby after birth advise..

-So last night I was talking with my boyfriend who is also the father of my daughter. I am currently 26 weeks pregnant, and I was telling him after I give birth I want it to just be the three of us. I don't want any visitors while I'm at the hospital because I want to bond with the baby as a family, without other people around. My boyfriend instantly got upset and said that he doesn't understand why we need to bond with her like that. I honestly don't know what to say..
