Investing with bitcoin?

Anyone doing this? What’s your personal experience?
I just started today and not sure what I’m getting myself into because I keep checking my phone to see if it’s going up or down.
Are you doing litecoin? Or which one are you putting money into that’s good?

my husband's boss keeps insisting he should invest in this bitcoin so we bought 3 Litecoins but I'm sketchy about it. so his boss keeps telling him to buy more which makes me question why is he insisting on  wanting us to invest.

So cryptocurrency is more of a gamble than an investment. We got into it maybe 3 years or so ago through my brother and are currently working in the industry but I have to say no one really knows what's going to happen or why. I think buying different tokens/coins is a good idea but don't put all of your savings into it. It's not stable and if you start panicking and selling when it falls you'll lose a lot of money. Depending on home much disposable income you have, I wouldn't put more than 25% of your savings into crypto. I used to teach financial literacy and diversification of savings is always your best approach. Crypto is high risk. Bonds or Certain mutual funds can be low risk. By balancing them out you can build a nest egg without panicking every time your crypto randomly plummets 40% in a few days.

It’s definitely not the most stable way of making money, and I don’t trust myself to put money into something that risky. My finance professor always stressed how much knowledge and effort it takes to invest in risky stocks (i know bitcoin isn’t stock, but it’s similar). I just have money invested into a mutual fund. My brother just told me about this this morning actually lol. He was saying that recently people have stopped the Bitcoin and litecoin is where it’s at so I guess that ones better atm
