How do I ask my dad to take me bra/underwear shopping? I do not have a mother to ask. The one time I went shopping with him, he insulted the bra I got calling it “risqué” because it had a design. I’m also afraid to ask for underwear that’s not just packaged granny panties. He makes me feel uncomfortable if I want to get something even slightly cute. I don’t think he realizes his comments are hurtful. He has also sent me off to shop with his girlfriend I barely knew for bras because he doesn’t know how to handle it. He didn’t understand why I was uncomfortable being in the changing room with her.
