can lubricant effect getting pregnant?

Hello fellow glows, as I have previously stated we have been trying to conceive for months with no success and today we were in the car coming back from get our hair cut and he mentioned something that we don't quite know the answer too. Does lubricant, any kind, effect sperm when trying to conceive?

We have no idea. We use it all the time. He loves it. And we don't use just 1 specific type. We switch it up between silicon, gel, etc. We decided maybe this month after my cycle is over and we get to trying again ......

... we're going to see if not using any makes a difference and maybe a baby will come of it?  Ideas or thoughts????

Try using preseed! I haven’t tried it yet, but have heard nothing but good reviews!

Yes it can. We used it until we realized it can cause problems. We switched to preseed and two months later I found out I was pregnant!!!

Yes, some lubes contain spermcide that kills sperm. And regular lube is to thick for sperm. You need to use a sperm friendly lube like pre-seed or conceive plus

Me and my hubby just started to TTC and I visited my OBGYN and asked for tips to help conceive. She told me lubricant "gums up" sperm and can prevent it t from reaching the egg. She suggested using preseed, as it is the only lubricant that mimics vaginal fluid and will help the sperm. Hopefully this helps you!

I’ve always heard/thought that lube can effect sperm, and slows them down.
