Who has had to have a membrane strip in their 2nd pregnancy??

I'm nervous that I might have to have one again. I had one with my 1st baby bc she was taking her time and I don't want to have to have it this time. It hurts so bad. I'm due next Sunday so only 11 days to go. Also what can I do to help her speed things up besides sex. Sex kills me right now

You don’t really “need” to have one. It only works if things were heading that way anyway.
I had one with my son at 38 weeks when I was having regular contractions but no progression, I lost my mucous plug but only gave birth to him at 39w4d.
With my daughter, I decided I didn’t want one but at 39w4d, I was again having regular contractions and no progress so they did one and although my contractions sped up, they didn’t go anywhere (I was even admitted then discharged 🤦🏻‍♀️). I had her 30 mins before her due date.
