dreams about ex

about a week ago I had a dream of my ex who I loved for 3 years very much until he went down south said he'd be back by my birthday he left in March my birthday was in December . he never came he said he would be back in March never came so I broke up with him then he got locked up. after 3 years of wondering if I was ever going to see him again that's when people started telling me he was out of jail. but I was in a happier relationship .so I decided to message the ex and ask question mostly every girl probably would do that right? but one of the questions I asked was why didn't he get ahold of me after he got it he said because it looked like u was happy. I was happy but it felt like there was a peice missing making me feel a little empty thinking he ran and never wanted to come back to me. my point is why would I still be having dreams about him he doesn't want anything to do with me because I told him he needed to lose my number if he was going to be blowing up my phone all day while I was at work.
