After being 40+2, I had to be induced today after finding a decrease in her water. I found that I had already started having small contractions, with little thinning and only a finger tip dilated for three weeks. I they give me two other those pills to help dissolve everything and told me that they would be back at 9 am to break my water. Water broke on its own and left me cramping for a bit. the induction was almost a nightmare for me after that. not only did it slow down my contracts. it made them disappear, leaving only this terrible pain. I had to wait for my doctor to come back to get my C-section, but it was all worth it seeing my husband and my little girl together.
