My LO will be 3 weeks on Saturday. I had a lot of issues BF because my latch was so off. My nipples were literally one giant scab! I've kept pressing on, reached out to a lactation consultant and we fixed the latch.. at least on the right side. I feed him the same way on the left and it seems to be more painful. I hate feeding on the left now but still do it. That side did take a majority of the damage, and the scabs are healed and no bleeding or anything. Could it just be the original nipple damage is making it more painful for now and it will get better in time? my nipple is so sore for at least an hour after feeding. I've been using lanolin cream after each feeding too please mamas... tell me this gets better!.
