Contractions while sleeping?

This probably sounds really dumb, but has anyone had contractions while sleeping but not strong enough to wake you?

The last 3 nights my husband says I’ve been in pain while sleeping.. he says I’m whimpering and sound really uncomfortable. The first two nights he’s woken me up to make sure I’m ok, and I’ve had no idea what he’s talking about... last night he said he didn’t bother waking me because I’m clearly just sleeping through it.

When I go to bed I’m having a lot of what I’m guessing is Braxton Hicks contractions, but they don’t necessarily hurt me. So I don’t know what’s going on while I sleep.
