Mirena—Will I ever stop bleeding???

Question

I got my IUD placed Dec. 4th and since then I’ve been bleeding/spotting almost nonstop. My doctor told me I’d only bleed for maybe 3 days at the most and that this form of birth control usually stops a period altogether but in my case it’s the opposite. Is this normal? I’ll go a week straight with spotting/bleeding and then have maybe 1-2 days of no bleeding. It’s so random that I have to wear panty liners 24/7. It’s so frustrating!

Yepp I was just like that for like 2 months after I got my Mirena

My doctor said that it’s normal to spot for up to 12 weeks after insertion

I bled for a month straight. I then spotted daily until about 3 months after I had mine out in. I then didn't have a period the whole time I had it, with occasional spotting maybe once every 6 months for less than a day each time.
