So I tried to help another FTM..
So she posted pictures of her son who is 5 months old who has some type of rash on his arm and a bump on his leg and face (which I think was just baby acne) but she said he’s been vomiting and she’s took him to the dr several times and they said it’s nothing 🤷🏻♀️🤷🏻♀️ she was responding to everyone saying “change your detergent, don’t wear perfume, change his body wash” she said nothing has changed and he just suddenly started doing this I guess for a week or so. Well it hit me.. “he’s allergic to some food” so I asked her if she feeds him baby food yet she said “yeah, several times a day and I always change it up” y’all my jaw droppppped. I told her that when trying new foods you’re supposed to wait a few days and watch for an allergic reaction.. SHE HAD NO IDEA, so now she’s going to schedule an allergy test for him. I feel good that I helped her but sometimes when I help I feel like my advice isn’t helpful or they don’t want it because I myself am a first time mom. But being on here and seeing so many different stories and what not I’ve learned so much! I was just in such shock that her dr never mentioned anything about waiting in between new foods? I guess what I’m trying to say is I’m very thankful for this app and you ladies, I just hope that I pointed her in the right direction and that baby starts to feel better.
