I like to shop at Publix, and there is one bagger who constantly tries to help me to my car when I clearly say no thank you. She has stopped asking me if I want help, and just takes my shopping cart from me and takes it outside. It drives me nuts because I park at the far end of the parking lot and this lady walks very slow. So my 3 minute exit turns into a 10 minute awkward stroll. She likes to ask me the same questions every time, and I think she might be struggling mentally so I try to be kind. But on the inside I’m screaming. I even try to avoid shopping on Thursdays because I know she’s typically there. Today on the agonizing stroll she starting looking through my groceries to start a conversation about creamer. We finally get to my car and I quickly start putting my bags in the trunk. She gets even more awkward and I realize she sees my adult coloring book. I’m going to a party this weekend and am bringing a bunch of board games and a cocktastic coloring book. I hope she judged me and starts letting me bring my groceries to my car by myself. Also, if anyone has an idea on how I can stop her with out being rude, please let me know. I used to politely decline her offer of help, and that’s when she just started taking to cart away from me without asking first. I’m have social anxiety anyway, and this stresses me out so much.
