We have a 12 year old and a 9 year old and currently going through a pregnancy scare. My husband tells me he "never wanted to have kids"

My husband and I have been together for 13 years. In the beginning I was upfront about wanting several children. He never objected. We had our son a year and a half into the relationship and got married a few months later. He even suggested having another right after but changed his mind after learning what hard work a baby can be, lol. He agreed to a second child when he was 2 so our son wouldn't be lonely. I've been asking for a third child off and on for years

and his answer was always "we can't afford one right now" or "wait until this, this and that then we can have one." always moving the goal posts over the years.

I told him at the time when I was in my mid twenty's that I suspected he would waste my time until it was too late and then admit he doesn't want anymore. Here we are and I'm getting ready to turn 32

About 6 months ago he agreed to a third child. He said he loved me and if that was what it takes to make me happy he would do it.

But today says he never remembered saying that

We just signed a one year lease for our 2 bedroom apartment in December so getting pregnant in that year isn't ideal obviously. But for him to tell me today after 13 years and two kids that he never wanted kids?

That was devastating and felt like a slap in the face.
