Nexplanon?

Has anyone had any complications or side affects with the nexplanon birth control implant? What were they? Thinking of getting it but want to see if any have had any side affects, thanks ladies!

I had it for 6 years before getting it out this past December, for the first bit I didn’t have a period which was fantastic and we could be intimate whenever. Then I started to get cycles again and though I wasn’t tracking to 100% know, I do believe they were irregular and some months I didn’t have a period. Cramps were worse for me personally, than not being on bc. Ultimately, everyone’s experience is going to vary and you have to do what makes sense for you. Additionally I would say, if you aren’t the most consistent with taking medication this is a better option since it’s in your arm and naturally suppresses the hormones to prevent pregnancy.

I had bad headaches, my arm where I got the nexplanon would sometimes tingle a bit , and fatigue, I came off of it after a year and a half because me and my husband decided to have a baby and got pregnant immediately after. Other than those side effects I loved nexplanon , best birth control I ever had! But everybody is different , so if you do get it and you start having really bad side effects please get it taken out ❤️
