Period and the pill

So just finished my first pack of 21-day birth control pills on Tuesday night. I started the pill on the second day of my period, and just got my period now. On day 24 of my cycle, with very little blood. It’s only been two days of not taking any pills, this is normal right? And I would start the next pack as soon as I finish my period, or on Wednesday? (After seven days, which generally is also the day I’d finish my period).

I ask here because I’m in a country where BC pills can’t be taken unless you’re married, so I can’t really speak to a doctor. My boyfriend and I just use it as a form of protection.

Light bleeding is normal but it can be heavy or light. A withdrawal bleed isn't super consistent until after 3-6 months of taking the pill. You start your next pack the day after you finish the last placebo pill regardless of if you're still bleeding. You should never take more than 7 days off your active pills after taking 21 active pills consecutively. Please read your pill insert as this will answer questions most accurately and some answers are dependent on the pill you are taking.

You start the next pack on the same day you started the first (Wednesday). Your break should be 7 days regardless of when your period endsFor example I always take the last pill of my pack Wednesday and start again one week later, on Thursday. It's always the same!
