I started bleeding bright, red blood and had mild cramping after the husband and I had sex. It was as much blood as I’d have on the third day of my period and it went on for a few hours. Needless to say, I was really scared and worried. We called the advice nurse and they told us to check into the hospital to have it looked at. Luckily, baby is doing just fine. I may have a low lying placenta but after examining me they think the bleeding is coming from my cervix and probably caused by sex. I am still spotting days after but definitely not bleeding as much as before. My regular OB will follow up and check me for placenta previa next week. This is my first baby and I’ve never felt that kind of fear before. I suppose this is the beginning of motherhood...
