false positives??

I am on day 10 past ovulation...have had many signs that had me wondering if I could be pregnant so I took TWO test that both came back PREGNANT. however, after speaking with my gyn nurse practitioner...she said taking the test this early could very well be false positives. i am supposed to go in for blood work next Wed and now in the meantime right back to wondering and even more now after 2 test ( 2 different days) say YES. I used e.p.t which indicate as early as 6 days before your missed period...any thoughts on this??? could both test be wrong? i feel like if its detecting a certain horomone...it should be correct!!! help!
