so i’m 15 and ive been seeing a guy who’s 16 and we’ve gone out a few times and he drives and has offered to pick me up and take me home a few times but my mom absolutely will not budge. he’s a very safe driver and she’s even said that she trusts him because he has a license so the state trusts him but it’s embarrassing constantly having to have my parents pick me up and drop me off. I get where they’re coming from but I don’t know how to talk to him about it. tonight we’re going to see a movie and he was supposed to take me home but last minute my mom decides that she’s taking me and picking me up. I don’t even wanna go now tbh. he sent me this and now I feel embarrassed like he thinks i’m some baby or some shit. fml how do I not be embarrassed or talk to him in a way that will make him understand that my parents are just protective. I totally understand where they’re coming from and id feel safer with them anyways but yikes I can’t help but feel stupid.
