What's going on?

So I started my period on the 4th of this month (Right on time!) And it lasted till the 9th (A few days more than normal). But now I've gone 3 days with spotting, dark red discharge, and cramps. it wasn't as bad today so I figured finally I can have sex with my boo, but no it made it a little worse. What is this?
