Surgery!!!

The week before I had my son I had a muscle cramp in my back....a spasm perhaps and the pain was so intense it made me vomit and scream in pain. I legitimately thought I was going to die. The spasm was so strong it would start in the middle of my back under my shoulder blades and then wrap around to my ribs to the point I couldn’t even breath. It had happened a few other times (all resulting in an ER visit). I would bring it up to my doctor and he would kinda blow it off since it wasn’t happening frequently enough. After I had my son in September it started to happen more and more...again I brought it up to my doctor and he blows it off so I figured maybe I was being over dramatic about it. The ER doctors just wanted to give me pain Meds and send me on my way and after my husband asked them to do something diagnostic to find out what was going on they told him no they were only there to get me through the episode and I had to follow up with my doctor. I made another doctor appointment with a NPR since my doctor was out . During my initial moments with the office nurse giving her my symptoms and whatnot so she can pass it along to the NPR I told her I needed to see her about my back (explained everything that was happening) and told her the ER told me to go see a doctor to get an MRI she tells me I don’t need an MRI that these are tell tell symptoms of gallbladder issues. GALLBLADDER ISSUES!! Blood-work and ultrasound confirmed and now I’m scheduled for surgery. Now I have to pay for this out of pocket since all the other doctors fix for this was to push pain meds (meds I told them I wouldn’t take since I’m breastfeeding) when I could have had this done 4 months ago when I had my son and my insurance would have paid 100%. I am so frustrated at my doctor and the emergency room staff and I don’t even know what to do about it.....
