Is 40 too old?

Am 40 this year and been starting to feel so lonely. Thinking that am turning old and have noone in my life. No friends even. Just go to work and back home to look after my kid. I don’t socialise nor have things to look forward too. I don’t feel confident about my looks though i know i don’t look bad.

I’m in the same situation. I turn 40 in a few months. I don’t really have any friends. I get along with my coworkers but it’s not like we hang out outside of work. I don’t have anyone special in my life and I have no children, which makes me feel worse. I’m also an only child. My parents are still alive but outside of them I’m only really talk to very few family members. I’ve tried to put myself out there but it’s hard. I have my days were I want to give up. I imagined my life so differently but it’s nowhere near were I thought it would be.

I am turning 41, I also feel very lonely. I am from another country, I have 0 friends and my husband hardly cares about it. My family is only one sister and ah lives 36 hours by plane from me. 
It’s sad. Growing up I had so many friends and I was so happy, I  ever thought I would be this lonely and sad in life. I works alone all day, so no friends at all. It’s very sad 😔
