Newborn Sleep Help

My little angel is three days old today and we have been doing a lot of kangaroo time to help bond especially my fiance. How do we get her to be willing to sleep on her back because she seems to only want to sleep when she is bonding. I don't want the habit to be any harder to break than it is right now. I tried swaddling her and waiting until she was in a deeper sleep and she will stay in her bassinet for about 20 minutes but then she wakes up. Any other suggestions?
