What do you consider as cheating?

I was talking to one of my friends and we have a complete different perception on what we consider as cheating.....
So I was just wondering what you considered as cheating?

Anything that you wouldn’t want your partner to find out, anything you would keep from them involving another person, anything you wouldn’t want done to you.

depends what you mean. actual adultery requires a sexual interaction, be it video, talking, or physical. I don't consider flirting and spending time with other females adultery, but it's just as much not allowed for us. My husband shouldn't even be talking to another woman without witnesses

if you feel guilty when you're doing it and you know your partner would disapprove. if you feel like you have to hide it. that's cheating. obviously having sex with someone else talking sexually flirting stuff like that is cheating

For me and my marriage, cheating is any kind of sex act, sexting, or any kind of porn that’s local or interactive, happy endings, texting anyone that they have feelings for them, want to sleep with them, etc. 
Not cheating but definitely deceitful and disrespectful would be flirting, being one on one with the opposite sex for non-work related reasons (and obviously not family), sharing intimate details of our relationship to the opposite sex friend(s). Some of this I think is okay when you’re young and the relationship isn’t that serious, but when you’re married, there are guardrails you need to have up to avoid what you think is innocent turning into a full blown affair.

if you wouldn't do it or say it in front of your spouse, if you wouldn't want them to find out about it, if you think it would make your SO upset, sad, uncomfortable, etc... why would you do it? anything you would answer yes to is cheating, or at the very least, gives the impression you are open to cheating (such as being very flirty with someone).

Anything sexual that requires the consent of another person is cheating. I.e. Jerking off to a picture/ video from the Internet: not cheating. Jerking off to a nude someone sent you: cheating 
IMO, emotional cheating doesn't exist. It's just a way for people to make sure their SOs only get emotional support from them, which is ridiculous.

If they have to hide it, it's probably cheating. There's a really thin line between innocent, quick flirting and prolonged serious flirting that can and will lead to more. Flirtatious messages back and forth, saying anything sexual to the other person or implying that they'd like to do or see anything sexual from the other person, sending pictures back and forth, and of course, doing anything physical with the person are all things that I consider cheating. It doesn't have to be just sex. If the person is having long conversations behind your back with the other person daily, I consider that a form of cheating as well

It depends on the relationship. It’s depends on the definition that both partners have agreed to. But to me, the heart of cheating is dishonesty. If my partner wants to mess around with someone who’s not me, I want him to talk to me about it before he does anything. My answer is not an automatic “No! How dare you!”

My husband and I have sex with other people. As long as we eack know about it, not cheating. No knowledge, cheating. If he becomes emotionally invested in another woman, cheating.
