“Girl privilege”?

So this is piggy backing off of Del’s post.

I looked a little more into the case (for those who don’t know the post, a girl tweeted “when his height starts with 5’” and a guy responded and said “when your weight starts with two hundred”, went viral, and then she tweeted back “thank you for ruining my life” — interesting discussion, check it out) and found a comment that someone made underneath the story:

I thinking shaming in ANY way is horrible, but I understood the point he was making. There is a huge double standard.

So what are your thoughts? Do you agree with this comment? Why or why not?
