Does it matter if you don’t have a lot of friends as long as you have your SO?

I don’t really have any friends...
My best friend doesn’t live where I live anymore and has joined a Christian cult so we don’t really speak
My other friend has gone off to university outside of London and has some mental health issues so will just not reply
And my other friend is upset I have a boyfriend because he wanted a chance with me
So I only ever get to see and speak to my boyfriend... I talk to my sister and see her sometimes but she revolves her life around her boyfriend 
I have friends at work but they’re old enough to be my parents  and my students are closer to my age 😂 so I don’t bond with them the same way
I think it’s okay depending on your relationship... my boyfriend wants me to have friends and will try to get me to hang out with people or invite me to see his friends because he doesn’t want me to cut off everyone 
But in the past both my ex’s didn’t want me to have friends... one used to ruin all my friendships and the other used to threaten everyone I know including my sister 🤷🏽‍♀️
It depends what kind of person you’re with and why you don’t have friends really

I think it’s just fine, I actually have no friends, only my bf and it would be a lil better with a few friends but as long as your happy I don’t think it would matter? In my opinion

Yes, IMO. I had a boyfriend for over a year and during that time span I pushed away all my friends away. I then realized he was abusive but I had no one to talk to about it and it kept me from leaving for a while. I’m not saying your boyfriend will be a shove or anything but you need someone to talk to besides your SO. You can’t get advice from your SO when the problem is about you and your SO lol

My boyfriend is my best friend and only friend. After high school I lost all of my friends( I didn’t have many to begin with). I’m not a super social girl so most of the time it doesn’t bother me not having any girl friends but occasionally my boyfriend will tell me I should find some friends but I never do. I’d say as long as your happy with your SO you don’t need a ton of other friends.

My husband an I will be married 10 years this July and we are best friends. Honestly we’ve talked about how it would be nice to occasionally have another couple to hang out with, but between work and the kids and life we are super busy and don’t really have time anyway. We work together every day and yes, some days I need him to just stay in the other room lol. We are super close after he almost died in a work accident years ago and we’ve been super close since then.

I’m in college and I have 5 really close friends at home and 4 close friends and like 6-7 outer circle friends, but to be honest I really only spend time outside of school with my boyfriend. So long as you are maintaining some type of relationships outside of your romantic relationship you should be just fine. There’s nothing wrong with really enjoying your SO!

I only have like three close friends and my boyfriend that's it and honestly that's how I like it I had more friends but they would always be rude or flirt with him he wouldn't back but I cut them out they made me choose yet they wanted him to choose after that
