Paisley for a girl?

We’re still ttc, buuut I’ve had the name paisley picked out for a girl literally for YEARS now.. and now I’m a little depressed seeing so many people name their girls paisley. Should I switch up and start searching for something different so my kid isn’t 1 of the 4 paisleys in class, or don’t worry about it? What do y’all think?

Paisley was number 46 on the most popular name list in the USA. So it’s not really that common I guess.

Unless you choose something like Carnation or Dandelion, you're going to get that repeat effect with most standard flower/plant names. Paisley, Rose, Lily, Violet, Jasmine, Rosemary, Lavender etc. Although some are less en vogue than others. Therefore, if you really like the name, I don't think you should feel obligated to switch just because it's popular. Only switch if that popularity really bothers you.

I love the name paisley, but I see what you’re saying. I had a friend go through the same situation & she ended up naming her little girl Kaisley. No one we know to this day has the same name as her & everyone loves it!! If it bothers you enough, try a variation of paisley! & if it doesn’t bother you, name your baby what you want girl!!(:
