Alternate testing sites?

My fingers are so sore and bruised from testing 4 times a day. My book said I can test on my palms but I wasn’t sure if it was accurate.

I’m just learning some ways to reduce the bruising. So far, it seems helpful. I wash with warm water, and specifically rub the finger I’m intending to use. I lowered my lancet depth to the lowest number and apply small pressure. Then I apply a small amount of pressure running along the length of my finger toward the prick area. I’ve actually had no bruising since making sure my hands are warm, completely dry, and I’m using the lowest setting on my lancet. Also, when pricking the sides of your fingers, make sure you’re still pricking on the fattier spots. Mine are more sore if I prick at the shallow parts of my fingers, closer to the nail.

Not sure about other locations. I just rotate fingers. Left side of pointer, then rught side, then left side of middle finger then right, then left of ring finger etc   Then I switch to the other hand. Usually gives me a chance to heal before I go back to the original spot
