Am i taking this the wrong way?

I've been "seeing" this guy for a short time. We've been hanging out whenever we both have time off. He's never, ever given me a reason to think he's lying or anything but I've been cheating on so many times so I'm just nervous he doesn't "want" me. I asked him when will we make things official and he wrote this. Is this good news or bad? I think I'm overreacting.

You’re over thinking it. He probably doesn’t want to rush things, which is good. He wants to get to know you more :) I think he must know you might think he’s seeing someone else so he’s just reassuring you.

Even if he was seeing other people, why would it matter? You are not official and that's not cheating. It seems like he's being genuine and honest though. Wanting to spend more time with you before making it official is a pretty typical thing to want
