Amber beads for teething!?!?

Has anyone used the amber bracelets/necklaces on their LO to relieve teething symptoms?!? 
Does it work!?

no the succinct acid found in amber would have to be burned at a much hotter temp than body temp to be released like they say it does. coupled with being a choking hazard and strangulation hazard, the benefits do not outweigh the risks for me.

We won't buy them for our daughter. They're such a huge hazard and not worth the risk to me. We just use regular frozen teethers and they work great.

I think it’s a waste of money and strangulation/choking hazard. My baby has never been a bad tether though, she doesn’t even notice.

if the babies hand goes between the beads and the neck it can choke the baby. before knowing it was dangerous I noticed my baby still drooled like crazy. save your money and buy cloth bibs

I bought them and then read so many bad things about them choking babies. I didn’t take the chance and just stopped using them.

I bought the amber beads for my little one and she wore them everyday. She never played with it or even really noticed them. She loved wearing play necklaces and always pointed to other people's jewelry when she was little. She had an easier time teething because of the amber and the healing properties in the tree sap which was used. Just make sure they are a reputable company and keep an eye on the necklace. They offer them in different sizes as long as the necklace doesn't hang low and isn't tight around the neck. I will get another one for this baby for sure. My older two kiddos never had them and they were a little more fussy with the teething.

I noticed a big difference between the kids that had them and the ones that didn’t when I worked at a daycare. I definitely think they help and plan on getting one for mine but I will probably take it off at night (:

My sister used them and said when they lost it for the night her daughter was up all night with teeth pain, so she swears by them. They should come with release clasps but if it still worries you you can get anklets instead.

As long as the measurements are correct the baby has no way to get it off. Make sure you buy a well made one from a reputable company, they run around $25 for good quality. They helped my first lo sooooooooo much her first 2 years, I saved the 3 we bought and plan to use them for our next baby too
