there are actually 3 types of lubes: 1- is water good but dries up to fast and can't use it in the shower, good for toys and condoms 2- silicone Good in the shower condoms but not good for toys. 3. oil a bit messy, hard to clean off, good for sex without protection, breaks condoms, mostly recomendened for long term sex and anal. bad for toys and condoms.... have fun 😎

1) because you don't have to wash it off and can re-activate it with saliva
2) because its the only thing available in my country. :(

we have used water based and gels and don't mind either.

I wouldn’t use anything oil-based; that can cause build-up that can lead to infection. 
If you’re using the lube with a toy or condom, make sure it’s something that works with the material the toy or condom is made out of.
